History of Dallam, Texas: A Former Railroad Stop
Published: July 8, 2005
Dallam was located about sixteen miles southeast of College Station in southern Brazos County. This settlement began in the early 1900s and was a railroad stop on a spur of the International–Great Northern Railroad. During this time three prison camps that supplied convict labor also operated in the area of Dallam. The stop still appeared on maps in the 1950s but had disappeared by the late twentieth century. No population figures were available.
