Goodnight was a small rural community located off Farm Road 3096 about eighteen miles east of Corsicana in eastern Navarro County. The settlement probably existed by the early 1900s, and in the 1930s the area included a school, several churches, farms, and homes. The dispersed community of Goodnight was shown on highway maps throughout the twentieth century, and in 2000 the census reported a population of twenty-five residents.
