Green Valley Farms: A Community Overview

Green Valley Farms is located south of Farm Road 510 about five miles east-southeast of San Benito and fifteen miles northwest of Brownsville in central Cameron County. This residential community probably began in the 1990s and consists of primarily Hispanic, lower-income families. The first population figures were recorded in the 2000 census when Green Valley Farms reported 720 residents. It is part of the Los Fresnos Consolidated Independent School District.
